Anna & Matthew = Meredith College Wedding Day!

Anna & Matthew’s wedding day was LONG awaited! Anna reached out to us the DAY AFTER they got engaged – almost 22 months ago!!! She told us right away that they wanted a wedding that was “loving, sentimental, and laid-back” – and their wedding turned out to be EXACTLY that!!!! 🙂

It’s always so fun when we get to photograph all these special sessions for our couples, and spend time with them over coffee and cookies at our meetings to get to know them even better. 🙂

Matthew and Anna’s day was beautiful. Perfect weather, sunshine – and the girls were having fun in the Market Hall bridal suite getting pampered by Hello Pretty & Melody Raper / Rebecca Bone. Anna’s group of bridesmaids was SO SWEET, and all the ladies were really helpful the whole day making my job easy!

Anna had a First Look with her dad, and he’s just precious! His laugh is contagious, and they shared an emotional moment together on the cobblestones. After that, we all headed to Meredith College for the ceremony, and the ceremony was Christ-centered and such a testimony of their faith. I loved hearing how much work Matthew and Anna have put into pre-marital counseling and preparing for their marriage, to start off their life in such an important way. After the ceremony, we photographed their portraits with the prettiest backdrop of ivy-covered trees that were just MAGICAL and I loved that little light-soaked spot!

The reception kicked off at Market Hall – and it was beautiful! Anna had chosen the prettiest table linens with so much texture, patterned chargers on top of blue velvet napkins, and pops of color from the flowers and greenery were a great contrast from the tile and urban feel of the venue. We especially loved their custom lighted “The Meyers” sign above the DJ table – and now Phillip wants one for our house, haha!

Anna’s sweet dad, Mike, welcomed everyone to the wedding – and his speech was honestly one of my favorite parts of the day. Not only did he compliment the planners by saying the wedding turned out exactly how it would have if Anna’s mom was there to have planned it (cue everyone crying including me) – but at the end of the speech he also challenged everyone to evaluate their faith and consider a relationship with Jesus Christ!

After a delicious buffet, Anna & Matthew cut their cake, started dancing, and everyone had a blast! There were lots of desserts to choose from – including tiny ice cream cookie sandwiches passed out by the staff to guests! Everyone had a great time dancing and letting loose. The star of the show was definitely Anna’s dad with the happiest dancing to the “SHOUT” song that we’ve ever seen.

It was such a wonderful day after 2 years of planning and looking forward to it! We are so happy for the new Mr. & Mrs. Meyers! I hope you all love seeing lots of my favorite photos from their day below. ENJOY!!!!! 🙂
