JC Raulston Arboretum | Bridal Session | Schuyler Edmondson | February 24, 2021
We haven’t photographed at the arboretum in WELL over a year, because they have been closed due to COVID restrictions! Since both Schuyler AND Lyndon are NC State graduates, the arboretum is meaningful so she reached out anyways about the possibility of having a private booking… and got permission! It was so fun and unique to have the entire arboretum to ourselves to explore, without worrying about editing out other guests or disrupting anyone else’s photoshoot! :)
We truly had the prettiest day in all of February for Schuyler’s session! It was 70 degrees, totally sunny, and felt like spring! Schuyler looked absolutely breathtaking in her satin wedding gown, and I loved everything about the design. She wanted a very classic, elegant style – and WOW did she pull it off! The back was completely open, and Schuyler added little buttons all the way down the train. The sides had peek-a-boo mesh areas, and gave her dress a little pop of “modern” and a surprise element. The beautiful drop pearl earrings she wore were actually her MOM’s wedding earrings too, which I thought was extra meaningful and special!!!
Schuyler brought along BOTH her parents to help with her Bridal Session. We typically have moms along, but other than Mr. Ron (who came along for BOTH his daughters Taylor and Sydney’s Bridal Sessions!) I can’t think of any other dad who’s been game to come along for Bridals! Mr. Sutton and Mrs. Wanda were so kind to help carry the veil, bouquet, dress, and help out with anything the wind was throwing at us that afternoon!
We had the best time basking in the sunshine with Schuyler, and she was so easy to photograph. I’m so excited to share some of my favorites from her Bridal Session below! Enjoy!
