Courtney + Cody = ENGAGEMENT SESSION

These two drove in from Florida and Ohio for their Engagement Session…so imagine my HORROR when I saw the weather forecast jump from a 40% chance of rain to a 90% chance the NIGHT BEFORE their Session!!!!

This is how AMAZING Courtney and Cody are – they immediately decided to switch to a SUNRISE session just HOURS away!!! That meant Courtney and her sister had to practice makeup (instead of her scheduled appointment for sunset) paint her nails, pack up all last minute!!!

Phillip and I woke up at 4:50am (yikes!!) and drove to Clayton for their session. We chose Clayton because Cody and Courtney met in high school, and their love story began there! So what better place to photograph their session??

We had a foggy morning, and it was nice and quiet (except for the trash trucks, haha) shooting at dawn. Right away we LOVED seeing how much Courtney laughs with Cody, and how her face literally LIGHTS UP when she looks at him. Cody is so sweet and romantic – as Courtney would lean into him, Cody would softly kiss her forehead. So precious!!!!

These two were SUCH good sports with the early morning, the foggy day, canceling a reservation we had for shooting at a venue, and the muggy weather! None of that mattered, and they embraced the session wholeheartedly and had FUN together!!!!
