Engagement Session || Tyler + Matthew || October 25th, 2017
This session will go down in our HISTORY as one with the most laughter, playfulness, glowy light… and when I got my first stitches.
We had a beautiful day for Tyler and Matthew’s Engagement Session. There was a breeze and beautiful sunshine. This is one of their favorite spots, with so much unique spots and wildlife that give so much character!! We loved walking around exploring the area, EVEN IF that meant getting lots of spiky burrs on our clothes, and even a cactus in my skirt!!
Matthew and Tyler are SO CUTE together. It’s obvious that they have fun together, and they bring out the best in each other. I love how Matthew makes Tyler laugh with a head-thrown-back kind of laugh that just brings a smile to everyone else’s face watching them. I also love how Tyler makes Matthew feel comfortable and puts him at ease (in front of our cameras especially!)
We so appreciated how Tyler and Matthew were up for anything, and totally embraced all the sand, burrs, wind, and just simply HAD A BLAST together!!
Our plan was to finish at an epic location in outfit #2 just as it turned dusk… so we were finishing up on the rock jetty right before switching outfits.
Phillip had JUST warned all of us about slippery rocks and oyster beds. Of course, CLUMSY ME gets all excited over a photo, runs backwards, and SLIPPED into an oyster bed!!!! I honestly thought I was fine, until I looked down and saw SO MUCH BLOOD! My hand and arm were gashed in 4 places from the oysters!!!! ?
Immediately, Tyler and Matthew were INCREDIBLY KIND, helping me get back to the car, giving me napkins to put pressure on my injuries, and even offering to end the session right then!!! (Seriously – who is that selfless to miss having photos in the location/outfit they loved most?!!) They were AWESOME to me. Thankfully, Phillip was able to quickly finish the session so they could have a few photos in outfit #2. (Thank you Phillip for picking up my slack and taking beautiful photos!!!)
Tyler is in nursing school, and Matthew is the son of a doctor, so they were SO HELPFUL with making phone calls and trying to find an ER for Phillip to take me to. They texted Phillip all evening to check in on me, and even SHIPPED US 2 BAGS OF POPCORN and a handwritten letter the next day. (Talk about kindness!!!!)
I could cry tears of thankfulness that we are blessed with such an amazing, thoughtful, and understanding couple. Tyler and Matthew, THANK YOU for everything. I’m SO SORRY I ruined the end of our session!!! Thanks for your patience, and how wonderful you’ve been to us. ?
We hope you’ll love all the photographs as much as we do!!!! Enjoy!
