Raleigh, NC | Marbles Kids Museum | September 30, 2015
My 5-year-old nephew usually doesn’t think I’m cool since I’m a girl and I don’t know ninja moves. However, when I said we’re shooting a reception at Marbles Kids Museum, his face lit up with excitement (and maybe jealousy!) and I got a few cool points in his book! 🙂
Staci and Joe sat down at one of our first meetings and told us how important photography was to them. They LOVE photographs, and wanted to schedule a large portion of the day just for portrait time. It’s so awesome when clients realize the importance of scheduling lots of time for photographs, so we were happy to oblige! We shot in the church, downtown Raleigh, and inside the Museum with all the exhibits.
You’ll see from the photos how silly Staci and Joe are. They wanted to incorporate a lot of silly faces, and didn’t want to take portraits too seriously and formal. Phillip had one of the funniest Groomsmen parties, and they were down for singing on a stage, jumping, and posing with flower bouquets!
Downtown Raleigh was gridlocked with traffic and detours because of a race going on that day, but thankfully we had scheduled plenty of time to maneuver through the chaos. However, it also meant we had TONS of people and cars in our portrait shots – so we had to be creative! 🙂 Staci and Joe got honked at lots – probably both out of “congratulations” and “get out of the way!” haha!
The reception was from 6pm – 11pm, and I’m pretty sure their guests NEVER left the dance floor. The music was awesome – and the guests were so fun and energetic! It was truly a PARTY atmosphere that included everyone young and old! Joe, his brother, and dad were some of the most entertaining ones out there – and put on quite a show for everyone, it was so awesome.
Staci and Joe, we just KNOW your married life will be full of laughter, silliness, and selfies 🙂 Congratulations on your FUN wedding day, and enjoy your new life together!!!
