Kris + Austin = WEDDING DAY!!

It’s pretty crazy how life comes full-circle sometimes. Austin was one of my closest friends in college, and always enjoyed photography. In fact, he helped me pick out my first non-kit lens, AND was my second shooter at my first two weddings! So in a sense, I wouldn’t be a wedding photographer at all if it weren’t for Austin!

Over the years, I knew it would take a special girl to be Austin’s match. He has so many hobbies and interests, and that would scare some girls off! BUT Kris and Austin found each other, and she couldn’t be any more PERFECT of a match for him. Not only does she support all his hobbies, but she ENJOYS doing all his hobbies WITH HIM! From enjoying motorcycles, to horseback riding, to hunting, to enjoying the outdoors, she loves everything he does!

When they reached out and asked us to photograph their “micro wedding”, I couldn’t have been happier! It was a huge honor not just because Austin is an old friend, but because he’s a photographer too.

Kris and Austin had the most beautiful day to get married! The sun was shining, and it was warm! Kris started the day by getting greenery from Wilson Flowers and Market, then she got her hair and makeup glam (by the talented Melody Raper at Mitchell’s) and then even had time to get her nails done! Kris looked STUNNING as a bride, (and I was super impressed with her ability to walk in heels!) Austin looked dapper in his bowtie, and they looked so happy!!!

Phillip and I had so much fun meeting Saffron, (their 2-year old dog) and she was precious! We walked all over taking portraits first, and finished the evening with photographing their ceremony – saying vows and promising their forever to each other.

We hope they’ll have a WONDERFUL honeymoon in THAILAND! In the meantime, enjoy seeing all my favorite photos from their perfect wedding day!!
