Engagement Session | Karey & Jacob | August 24th, 2017
Our THIRD attempt at Karey and Jacob’s session was the charm! After rescheduling TWICE due to thunderstorms and overcast days, we finally could shoot and BOY were we blessed with gorgeous sunshine and a summer day in the 80’s!!! 🙂
Karey looked absolutely STUNNING, and she did her own hair AND makeup!! Her makeup was flawless, and I was so jealous of her eyelashes!!! Jacob also looked handsome, and their outfits were really cute together.
We tried to crunch 3 outfits, AND 3 locations into their session! So, we started at their wedding venue – where we had fun playing with the cows and horses. The light at the venue was really pretty, and we shot there as much as possible!
Next, we moved onto an old restored bridge. I could’ve photographed there all day, but light was fading fast, so we moved on to the LAST location, which is Jacob’s Papa’s farm. He has cows too, and at 74 he STILL tends to the farm himself. Really impressive!!
Papa’s farm was the most meaningful, because this is where Jacob proposed to Karey! (with the help of another of our 2018 brides, Erin Haddon!) We loved seeing “the spot” where the proposal happened.
We really enjoyed photographing these two. Their engagement has been a DECADE in the making, and it’s SO special for us to capture their love story as it progresses to marriage.
They made our job SUPER EASY and modeled like pros. Below are a (lot) of our favorite photographs from our session together! 🙂
