Starmount Forest Country Club Bridal Session | Ellie Burgess | April 16th, 2018
Ya’ll… Ellie is AMAZING. Leading up to her session, the winds were forecasting 18mph and the day was looking SUPER CLOUDY so we started scrambling for backup options for an indoor location. Ellie and I were both frantically doing research days before, checking Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh venues that would work.
Even the MORNING of her session, the golf course pro kindly called us offering to reschedule since the grounds were super wet and the day looking bad.
Ultimately, Ellie chose to stick with her original outdoor location, and was SUCH A TROOPER. Seriously. It was COLD, she had goosebumps, and the winds were the WORST we’ve ever experienced at 18mph.
We’d take little warm-up breaks, and Ellie never complained. She was so determined to get wonderful photos, and toughed it out for HOURS in those crazy conditions.
Looking back, I’m SO GLAD she was willing to stick with plan, because the photos turned out BEAUTIFULLY and we were able to shoot places that we wouldn’t have if the day was sunny.
Her sweet mom, Carol, came to help us and she was a delight to be around. Now we totally see where Ellie gets her kindness!!! We loved spending this windy afternoon with them!!!
So thankful for a bride who trusted us completely, and was willing to tough out the weather to get awesome photos!!! We hope you’ll love all our favorites below!!! 🙂
