Engagement Session | Cat + Brett | April 18th, 2019
It’s pretty cool when things come full circle! Cat and I both went to Barton College, and shared a few art classes together because she minored in Art! Although Brett also went to Barton, he was 5 years older than us, so we didn’t “know” him! Then, about 4 years ago, Cat’s sorority was celebrating their 50thAnniversary with a big party, and hired US to photograph it! Guess who was the chef at Wilson Country Club having to coordinate things with Cat? You guessed right… BRETT! So in a way, we were a part of their love story at the beginning because we photographed the event that brought them together!! Pretty awesome!
With Brett living in Texas and Cat living in NC, we were super limited on dates to photograph their Engagement Session! Thankfully, the day we chose turned out to be GORGEOUS, it was sunny and warm, and all the flowers and trees were blooming at the gardens! It was our FIRST time photographing there, and it was really fun to shoot somewhere NEW!
Cat looked STUNNING as usual, and Brett looked dapper and did a GREAT job with posing! (even though he initially told us he hated photos!) I loved seeing how he makes Cat laugh easily, and the way he looks at her with adoring eyes is SO precious!!! As they were doing an outfit change, Phillip told me, “Wow, Cat is SO SWEET!” and I agree, they were so easy to get along with and fun!
I was in photographer HEAVEN with these two cuties, their outfits, the surroundings, and the weather. I just might be delivering them the BIGGEST Engagement Session gallery EVER!
It was incredibly hard to narrow down my favorites, so I hope you’ll enjoy seeing these gorgeous photos! We can’t WAIT for your wedding in October already, Brett and Cat!
