Ashley & Scott = MATERNITY SESSION!

It feels like just yesterday we were shooting a really unique Anniversary Session with Ashley and Scott in a CANOE!!! It was a beautiful session, but it had fall colors, the day was overcast and kind of rainy.

So, for their Maternity Session, all Ashley wanted was “GLOWY LIGHT!!!” I wanted so badly for her to have a session with warm sunshine, but lately all our sessions were overcast (still beautiful – just no direct sun!) and I didn’t know if Ashley would get that light she’d hoped for.

We had planned on shooting in a “weedy field” since all the local gardens and fields had bloomed early and were bare. BUT we were so EXCITED to stumble upon a WILDFLOWER field the week of their session, with the sun rising in the PERFECT direction to use it for a sunrise session.

Finally the day arrived, and BOY was it WORTH IT for Ashley to wake up at 4:30am (!!!!!!!!) to get ready. The light was soft and glowy, the flowers were still happy and pretty looking, and it wasn’t TOO hot outside yet! We were SO BLESSED with a perfect session.

Ashley looked stunning with the sun kissing her hair, and making her pregnancy glow even more radiant. Her outfits were adorable, and she carries Raelynn Grace so beautifully. Scott was so protective and attentive to Ashley, he’ll be a wonderful Daddy to that little girl. Bella was, per usual, such an obedient dog. She posed as well as most humans, and even when her collar slipped off – she didn’t run away.

We had the BEST time with these three (well, actually FOUR!!) and our time flew by so fast! It’s amazing that in just 7 weeks, we’ll be photographing a NEWBORN baby girl in their home.
