Quinn & Andy | Hayes Barton UMC & North Ridge Country Club | January 6th, 2017
So, if you haven’t heard already, Quinn and Andy were our bride & groom who had to CHANGE their wedding in LESS THAN 24 HOURS to a day early, trying to beat the snow that hit Raleigh last weekend! Not only did they have 2 venues and countless vendors to schedule the change with, but they also had to call 300 guests!!!
Phillip and I were blown away with the calmness and easy-going attitude both Quinn and Andy had on their wedding day, in the midst of chaos and crazy weather. It rained the whole day, yet they didn’t let the rain affect their EXCITEMENT over getting married!!!
Quinn’s bridal party of 11 girls + 2 flower girls were some of the sweetest bridesmaids, but they were also SO HELPFUL! They helped me navigate around the new schedule to get everything photographed in a short amount of time, styled Quinn’s bridal updo, and even MADE A BOUQUET when one was missing. They were awesome!
Phillip said the group of 10 groomsmen was also the PERFECT ones to be handling the day. Andy’s Best Man was one of Phillip’s top favorite he’s ever worked with, because of how helpful he was coordinating and helping find groomsmen as they drove in from different states just in time for photos!!!
Quinn was stunning in her full white gown, and wore her sister’s veil as she walked down the aisle to Andy (in the same church many of her siblings had also married!) The ceremony was beautiful – incorporating a lot of scripture and special music! Can I just mention that the Pastor was literally the NICEST pastor ever – offering throughout the day to HELP ME carry bouquets, or if I needed any help. WOW!
When the ceremony ended, we whisked Quinn & Andy outside for Bride & Groom photographs, as it was getting pretty dark AND raining!!! Quinn was THE BEST SPORT, as she just hiked up her dress, walked in heels IN THE RAIN all the way to a little magical spot I found for us. Andy helped carry an umbrella, and her bouquet when needed – awesome.
The reception was so beautiful, they treated their guests to a unique cocktail hour of a biscuit bar (which I thought was genius) a lovely sit-down dinner, dancing, games, a photo booth, the sweetest slideshow (since the wedding was now the actual rehearsal day!) an ice cream toppings bar, and cake!
Quinn and Andy left in a tunnel of sparklers, and it was perfect ending to a wonderful day (put together in 24 hours!!) We think the world of these two and their mindset through all the “bummers”.
Enjoy a few of our favorite images from the day!
