Caroline & Morgan = Wedding Day!

Preston Woodall House | Benson, NC | July 30^th, 2016

When I was a kid, I went to the same church as Caroline – hearing her sing solos and seeing her grow up over the years. So when she reached out about us shooting her July wedding, I knew it would be special! Almost EXACTLY a year ago, we photographed Caroline as Maid of Honor in Allison’s wedding, and now we were shooting HER wedding, only a year and 5 days a part. How cool!

Typical of a southern July, we had a hot, humid day. Caroline even gave her bridesmaids handheld fans as a gift! We quickly realized how much fun both Caroline and Morgan are. They have a great sense of humor, and enjoyed being silly and having fun with their bridal parties.

After a beautiful and personal ceremony, we took everyone outside for photographs. Thankfully, Preston Woodall’s staff stayed near us carrying trays of ice water, and BOY did we need it. The gnats started swarming as we got hot, so Phillip used our trusty reflector “aka gnat swatter” to keep the bugs off of Caroline & Morgan during their portrait time. Morgan and Caroline were SUCH troopers, and did a great job in the heat.

The reception started with really sweet, sentimental toasts. We could tell how much Caroline and Morgan were loved by their friends and family. So many family and friends traveled across the US for this wedding, and that means a lot! Caroline and Morgan treated their guests to a really nice dinner and drinks, then the dance floor opened! It didn’t take long before their guests were all out having a GREAT time!

We loved being a part of Morgan & Caroline’s (patriotic!) wedding day! We hope you enjoy a little peek into their day!
