Dean Plantation | Amy’s Bridal Portraits | July 20th, 2016
Amy loves the outdoors: nature, water, and horses. Shooting her Bridal Portraits at her wedding venue, Dean Plantation made perfect sense. We were blessed with a sunny day – but it was another hot July day! Phillip was a HUGE help for me as usual – he literally fanned Amy with the reflector during the ENTIRE shoot to give her a breeze and shoo away all the summer gnats from her face. Phil to the rescue yet again!
Amy’s hair and dress choice were so natural and feminine. Her hair was half down with curls, and looked perfect with her dress. Her wedding dress had several layers, each with a different texture and pattern. It was SO unique! I’d never seen a dress like hers before. Amy added a whimsical sash on her dress that was a cream color, and looked great around her waist.
One of the highlights of the session was at the end! The sun was setting fast, and we were wrapping up the formal portraits, as some horses came up near us! Amy’s eyes lit up, and she hurried over to a mama horse AND a colt! Amy was able to feed them, and get up really close for a few fun and candid portraits with the horses. So cool!
Amy was such a good sport in the heat, gnats, bugs, and wearing a hot dress. We loved spending time with her and hope you enjoy this sneak peek from our bridal portrait session together!
