Katie Marie & Matt = WEDDING DAY!

TWICE in the last month Tiffany has been the Matron of Honor AND photographer for weddings! This time, the bride was Tiffany’s college roommate, Katie, marrying Matt in a destination wedding at River Landing. Tiffany & Phillip teamed up with Kristy (Tiffany’s sister) in order to have 2 photographers at all times, and it was the DREAM TEAM!

The weekend kicked off with checking into our cottage and scouting around River Landing a day in advance for photo locations! We had our rehearsal and were then all treated to a yummy dinner at Mad Boar, with groom’s cake, toasts, and even customized goody bags made by Matt’s mom Joan!!! After dinner, Tiffany & Kristy hung out with all the girls as we painted fingernails and had a dance party in Katie’s suite.

We all woke up excited, and had a delicious Bridal Brunch at the cottage – wearing the CUTEST jean dresses Katie got monogrammed for us, and pearl earrings from Beaufort Linen Company. The getting ready dresses were comfy and really adorable!!

We all got ready in Katie’s HUGE bridal suite, and Tiffany rotated back and forth from getting herself ready to photographing the girls getting ready. Katie was absolutely RADIANT that morning, and was really laid back and relaxed.

It was a HOT July day, but we took all the photographs outside as fast as we could. Before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony!!! It was a beautiful (covered) outdoor space, and Elizabethtown Florist did a great job decorating the “altar” space with a garland of flowers on the iron railing.

OUT OF NOWHERE, all of a sudden TORRENTIAL RAIN starts pouring around us (we were covered with a roof over our heads) but then the rain came down SIDEWAYS, soaking all of us Bridal Party near the edges. Everyone was good sports, and stood their ground even as we all got wet.

Thankfully, the summer rain stopped, and even gave way to a RAINBOW!!! [I guess for Katie and Matt it was God’s sign of his promise that good things come after the bad….pretty cool!] Because of all the rain we photographed the Bridal Party and Bride & Groom photos in the ceremony space.

The reception kicked off, and the Barbour/King families treated guests to a buffet, drinks, cake, and dancing!!! We snuck Katie and Matt out for sunset photos – and even thought it was overcast and we didn’t have much of a true “sunset”, those photos are my favorites of the day!!!!!

SIDE NOTE – We just LOVE how Matt makes Katie giggle and smile so big. I love seeing my friend so incredibly happy and cared for!!!

The reception was ESPECIALLY fun since Tiffany’s parents were also in attendance, so we ate with them, and Mom even hit the dance floor for a bit!!! Since we were officially guests, Phillip, Kristy, and I danced the night away with everyone else, and had SUCH a blast with all our friends. (Tiffany also had to give her toast/Speech – and was kinda out of breath from Sunset photos – embarrassing!!!)

Katie and Matt ran through a tunnel of sparklers as the evening ended, and it was a PERFECT ending to a special day.

We LOVED being a part of Katie and Matt’s day in several ways – and are so blessed to have them as friends. Below are a few of our favorites images – we hope you enjoy!!!!
